Guy Parker opened Guy Parker’s Barbeque Restaurant 48 years ago on August 12, 1962 in Goldsboro, North Carolina (Wayne County). At the time Guy Parker opened his restaurant, public facilities were still segregated in Goldsboro, NC. Guy Parker’s Barbeque Restaurant became the first restaurant in Wayne County where Black’s could be served to sit down and eat alongside Whites in a public restaurant. Guy Parker did not know at the time that he was making history by allowing Blacks and Whites to dine together in his restaurant. However, Guy Parker’s Barbeque Restaurant has always been a place where there have never been color lines and people of all races, creed, and color have come together over his famous pit-cooked pork barbeque, fall-off-the-bone barbeque chicken, seafood, and homemade side dishes.
The demand for Guy Parker’s famous barbeque sauce continues to grow. John Parker, Guy’s youngest son, is continuing the tradition of his father’s legacy by bringing Guy Parker’s Barbeque Sauce to the market so people across the globe can enjoy the all natural goodness and flavor of barbequing at home amongst other ways to enjoy Guy’s barbeque sauce on poultry, seafood, vegetables, etc. We hope you will consider making your mark in history by selling Guy Parker’s famous barbeque sauce in your stores.
